NHIA Comments on MTF for 2026 and 2027

Alexandria, VA (May 1, 2025)—The National Home Infusion Association (NHIA) commented on CMS’s Information Collection Request (ICR) regarding the Medicare Transaction Facilitator (MTF) that will be used in facilitating negotiated prices under the Medicare Drug Price Negotiation program. The association expressed concern about the effects of MTF on dispensing entities, including required participation in the MTF data module, financial burdens from retrospective manufacturer maximum price (MFP) refund payments, administrative burden from variable manufacturer processes, MFP refund amounts, and the complaint and dispute resolution process.
