Shape what home infusion learns about AI in 2027

Every home infusion organization is working through AI on its own right now: what to try, what to trust, what to formalize. Serving on NHIA’s new AI Committee puts you in the room with the people asking the same questions you are.

What you’d work on

Biggest job in year one

AI education for NHIA 2027

You’ll help decide what the AI program in San Diego covers and how it’s taught, including developing interactive sessions and roundtables. If you’ve ever sat through a session that didn’t address your actual needs, this is where you get to fix that.

A read on where the field really is

The Committee helps NHIA understand what members are actually doing with AI — what’s in production, what got set aside, and where people are stuck — so we can build tools to support the industry together grounded in real practice.

Standards adapted to home infusion

Much of the AI guidance being written for health care may not apply to the realities of home infusion providers. The Committee helps translate the policies and standards that matter into terms that fit home infusion operations.

What you get out of it

  • A working relationship with peers from other organizations grappling with the same challenges as you
  • Direct influence over NHIA’s AI programming, education, and member guidance
  • A visible role on the NHIA 2027 program, with the option to help facilitate sessions
  • Ideas you can take straight back to your own organization

Who can serve

Individuals must work for an active NHIA provider member to serve on the AI Committee.

We’re looking for representation from all organizational sizes and professional disciplines, and from every level of familiarity with AI. If you’re curious about where this is headed and already asking hard questions about tools, vendor claims, and workflows, you would be perfect for this Committee.

You don’t need to be an AI expert. If you’re the person at your organization asking hard questions about a tool, a vendor claim, or a workflow — or you are curious about where things are headed — that’s the outlook this Committee needs. We’re looking for representation from all organizational sizes and disciplines.

The commitment

Two-year term, monthly 1-hour virtual meetings plus an optional in-person meeting at the annual conference, roughly two to four hours a month.

Applications for the inaugural cohort are open through Friday, October 16.
